Grazing FAQs & Delivery Information

Explore more information about our handmade grazing boards and delivery information in our frequently asked questions below. If you have a question that we haven’t answered, don’t hesitate to get in touch with a member of our friendly team, we’ll be happy to help. We respond to most emails within 48 hours.

Every precaution is taken to avoid cross-contamination, however, we do handle various allergens in the environment in which we create all of our products so we cannot guarantee them to be 100% allergen-free. We can prevent items being present on a board (e.g. nuts) but recommend that anybody with severe allergies avoid our products.

We are happy to cater to reasonable dietary requirement requests with sufficient notice, most notably, vegetarian and gluten-free. All requests affecting ingredients should be clarified before a final quote is met and the first payment issued.

Booking with Savery Grazing begins with an enquiry through one of the contact options provided on the website. We endeavor to respond to enquiries within 48 hours to further determine the details necessary to provide a quote.

A booking is secured upon receipt of the first payment.

We currently only take payments through direct bank transfers. When a quoted price is agreed upon an invoice will be created and sent via Quickbooks.

Orders totaling less than £100 (excluding delivery costs and deposits) will be invoiced as 1 payment to be paid in full on or before an agreed date to secure the booking.

Orders totaling over £100 will result in an invoice with 2 payment dates. The first of which will consist of half the overall price plus applicable fees/deposit (see below). This payment secures the date and confirms the booking. Due to the number of enquiries we receive, we unfortunately cannot hold dates until payment has been received. The second and final payment will be the remaining balance and is to be made on, or before, an agreed date the week of the event.

Some of our bookings require a deposit for the equipment that will be provided by Savery Grazing. This will be laid out clearly on the invoice and included within the first payment, however, this will be returned to you after the safe collection of our equipment.

The cancellation period for orders under £100 ends 7 days prior to the event or delivery date. For orders over £100 this is extended to 14 days.

Due to the nature of the business any cancellations made outside of the cancellation period will not be eligible for a refund of any payments made (excluding equipment deposits); this includes scenarios where the initial payment has been made outside of the cancellation period (for example, due to shorter notice given or a delayed replies regarding details).

Cancellations within the cancellation period will be eligible for a full refund, unless explicit effort has been made on our part to meet special requests or source special ingredients.

We understand plans can change and there may be reasons to change the date of the event; in such cases we would require a minimum of 7 day’s notice. We cannot however guarantee availability of the new date regardless of notice given and thus the booking would need to be considered for cancellation under the cancellation terms above.

If a new date is agreed upon, it may be necessary for a revised invoice to be issued detailing the remaining balance with new payment dates.

Our standard delivery fees are 75p per mile for prepared platters or £1.50 per mile for Grazing Tables.

These standard costs do not apply on premium delivery days or times, including; Bank Holidays, National Holidays, 20th December to 3rd January, and any day before 7am or after 9pm. The delivery fees for these premium delivery times will be 2x standard rate.

For large orders, repeat customers, or orders within our direct local area (S17, Dore) we may offer complimentary free delivery at our discretion.

Please note, that all our prepared platters are available for collection for free.

All food is kept chilled during transport. To comply with the UK Food Standards Agency it is the responsibility of the client to dispose of any of our platters and tables after 4 hours if kept unrefrigerated. Savery Grazing will not be held responsible for any adverse reactions to our food consumed after this time. All of our boxes should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 24 hours.

Each platter comes on a refrigerator-sized board so they can be stored for one day, if needed, before your event. For the best taste, quality, and texture, we’d recommend serving your grazing platter on the day of delivery. Simply take out of the fridge one hour before serving to allow the cheese and meats to come to room temperature.

We kindly ask that you place your order a few weeks in advance, as this gives us plenty of notice and time to discuss all the details with you. This also gives you plenty of time to secure the date or should you wish to make any changes (see our cancellation policy).

If you need your delicious food sooner, please get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Please note that initial payments are non-refundable outside of the cancellation period which can vary depending on the size of your order; this may be necessary to consider when booking.
