If you’re familiar with my blog, you’ll know I love a DIY food or drink station of some sort – whether that be a ‘build-your-own-sandwich bar’ or a ‘make-your-own-pizza party’. I think they’re such a fab way to keep guests entertained while doubling up as a super cute catering option.
One of my all-time favourites, though? A ‘Pimp Your Prosecco’ Station. They’re incredibly easy to put together, totally Instagram-worthy, and perfect for hen-dos, weddings, baby showers or any girly get-together, really. It takes less than 30 minutes to assemble and can be as budget-friendly or as boujee as you fancy!

What To Include in Your ‘Pimp Your Prosecco’ Station
There are a couple of components needed to ‘pimp’ your fizz. This includes plenty of prosecco, alcoholic mix ins/liqueurs, juices, and garnishes like fruit slices or prosecco glitter. Find out more about what to include in your prosecco station below:
Prosecco / Fizz (Obviously!)
A standard bottle of prosecco serves about six glasses, and most guests will happily sip two glasses per hour (sometimes more, let’s be honest!). So, if you’re hosting 10 people for a three-hour event, you’ll want around 10 bottles — and maybe a couple extra, just to be safe.
If you have designated drivers, or people who don’t drink attending your event, make sure to include some ‘nozeco’ or non-alcoholic fizz so they can still join in on the fun.
What Makes a Good Prosecco?
Not all bubbles are created equal! If your prosecco bar is the main drink option at your event, you’ll want to choose a good-quality bottle that still fits your budget. Here’s what I look for:
- Italian varieties are always a good start
- DOC or DOCG labels mean it’s been made to a high standard
- Aim for at least 85% Glera grapes
- For a sweeter fizz, go for a “dry” prosecco
- For something crisper, choose “brut”
Skip the rosé prosecco for this setup – the mix-ins will work far better with a classic white fizz. And even if you have a bigger budget, I’d save the champagne for another day. Trust me, it’ll go unnoticed once the mixers come out!
Alcoholic Add-Ins
This is where the fun really begins! Offer a few flavoured spirits so guests can whip up interesting spritzes. Some of my go-to’s for a prosecco station include:
- Aperol
- Limoncello
- Chambord
- Sarti
- Peach Schnapps
- Elderflower liqueur (St-Germain)
- Cointreau / Triple Sec
- Creme de Cassis
Non-Alcoholic Mixers
Add a splash of colour and flavour with a few chilled mixers. I like to pour mine into cute glass pitchers or carafes:
- Orange juice
- Apple juice
- Pomegranate juice
- Cranberry juice
- Ginger ale or ginger bee
- Elderflower cordial / syrup
- Coconut water
Prosecco Garnishes
They’ve got to look as good as they taste! I love garnishes like:
- Pomegranate seeds
- Passionfruit halves
- Berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries)
- Dried citrus slices – lemon, lime, grapefruit, or blood orange
- Edible glitter (I’m obsessed with these ones from Pop a Ball)
- Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme
- Cranberries for festive vibes
If you’re going down the aperol vibe, you should also include large fresh citrus rounds like orange or blood orange, as well as sprigs of mint for some freshness.

Creating Your Prosecco Station
Now for the fun bit – the setup! Give yourself an hour or so to do this to be on the safe side. You don’t need much space, but a little thought goes a long way in making it look absolutely gorgeous.
Choose the Perfect Spot
Pick a table close to where the party’s happening (no one wants to trek miles for a top-up!). Cover it with a lovely tablecloth or a runner that ties into your event’s theme – think linen for rustic weddings or pink/blue for a baby shower.
Style Your Fizz & Add-Ins
Use ice buckets to keep your prosecco bottles chilled – I love hammered metal or stainless steel ones for that luxe touch.
Display your garnishes in small bowls or pretty dishes (charity/thrift shops are perfect for finding gorgeous vintage ones on a budget). Stack a couple of crates or boxes underneath to create height and visual interest.
Decorate!
No station is complete without a little personality! Add a cute sign that says “Pimp Your Prosecco” (chalkboards, letter boards or framed prints work beautifully – you can use a super simple template on Canva to create a quick print yourself).
For themed events, tie ribbons or bows around the stems (I’m doing red bows for Christmas this year!) or add wine glass charms so everyone can keep track of their drink.
