Okay, so you need a gift for the friend who’s always on their way to a Pilates class, listens to three health podcasts before lunch, and somehow knows every new supplement before it hits the shelves. Maybe they’re genuinely into feeling their best, or maybe they just love a good wellness trend – either way, finding something they don’t already own can be such a challenge!
Whether you’re shopping for a birthday, a Secret Santa, or you just want to treat someone who takes their health seriously, this food and drink gift guide has a little something for everyone – from practical kitchen staples to fun wellness extras, across a range of budgets.
Adaptogenic Coffee
If your gift recipient loves coffee but is trying to reduce jitters, stress, or that afternoon crash, adaptogenic coffee is such a thoughtful pick. These blends combine coffee with ingredients like ashwagandha, lion’s mane, or reishi to support calm focus and sustained energy.
Brands like London Nootropics, Rheal, and Dirtea Coffee offer great starter blends. Most come in cute tins or giftable boxes, making them perfect for stockings or wellness hampers. And if they’re more of a matcha drinker? Many of these brands sell adaptogenic matcha too – just saying…
Lucky Iron Fish
An absolute winter staple in my home! If you struggle with low iron, tiredness, or those lingering headaches that seem to arrive with the darker months, the Lucky Iron Fish is such a simple but effective way to boost your iron levels – without needing to take supplements. Simply pop it into your pasta, soups, or stews during cooking with a little splash of something pacific (this helps the iron absorb) and you’re good to go!
And at around £50, it’s one of those “I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but I’d love to receive it” items, which makes it an ideal gift for anyone who cares about their health. They also offer a gorgeous Iron Leaf design if that suits your gift recipient’s aesthetic more.
Souper Cubes
If your gift recipient is an avid meal prepper, Souper Cubes are one of the most unique yet genuinely practical gifts you can buy. Starting at around £20 per tray, they’re essentially oversized ice cube moulds designed to portion and freeze soups, stews, sauces – honestly, anything you can think of. They stack beautifully, keeping your freezer drawers super organised, and they come in a range of sizes so you can pick the ones that best fit their cooking style.
Water / Smoothie Bottle
Everyone loves a nice new water bottle, especially one from their favourite brand. Plus, they’re pretty cost effective, making them a great stocking filler or as part of a larger wellness hamper. Here are a few lovely health brands to consider gifting a water bottle from:
ZOE Gut Health Mix
Gut health seems to be a trend that is very much here to stay! If your gift recipient is just as obsessed about looking after their gut than I am, then a gut health mix – essentially a powder of plants + pro & prebiotics – is a great option to buy them. My personal favourite is the ZOE Daily30+ – a 30+ plant gut supplement designed by ZOE’s team of gut health scientists. It can either be bought in subscription form on their website, or in a single sachet from Waitrose.
A gut health mix is also something that can easily be DIY’ed (method coming soon!). I bought a lovely jar from Homesense and filled it with a homemade mix of blended seeds, nuts, superfood blends, spices, and more – I ended up with over 35 plants in mind, and it took less than half an hour to create!
Reusable Silicone Pouches
If your giftee is into their health and wellness, it’s likely that they care about their environmental consumption too. If that’s the case, then good quality reusable silicone pouches can be a brilliant, and budget-friendly gift option that allows them to store leftovers without the need for single-use plastic. There are some pretty cost-effective options on Amazon or Ikea, or grab the OXO ones if you’re looking for something a bit better quality.
Health-Focused Cookbooks
There is honestly nothing better than a new cookbook in my opinion! And, if it’s written with health and wellness in mind, it’ll make the perfect present for your wellness-loving friend. Here are a few of my favourites:
- Live To Eat by nutritionist Emily English
- So Good by nutritionist Emily English
- The Green Kitchen by David Frenkiel & Luise Vindahl
- Clean Soups by Rebecca Katz
- The Doctor’s Kitchen by Dr Rupy Aujla
- Healing Foods: Eat Your Way to a Healthier Life by Neal’s Yard/Susannah Steel
- Eat Yourself Healthy by Jamie Oliver
- The Food For Life Cookbook by Tim Spector
Health-Focused Non Fiction Books
Cookbooks are great, but it’s also such a treat to get a new book for bedtime or holiday reading. Opt for something that your giftee has a specific interest in, like gut health, sleep, holistic wellness, or anything in between. Plus, if you’re on a smaller budget, or looking for a small stocking filler or ‘thinking of you’ gift, most non-fiction paperback books are perfectly suitable. Here are a couple of my favourites:
- The Diet Myth by Tim Spector
- Spoon Fed by Tim Spector
- Food For Life: The New Science Of Eating Well by Tim Spector (you could also buy the matching ‘Food For Life’ cookbook to match)
- Ferment by Tim Spector
- The Metabolic Reset Diet by Dr Alan Christianson
- Ultra Processed People by Chris van Tulleken
- The Natural Supplement & Nutrition Guide by Henrietta Norton, founder of Wild Nutrition
- Every Body Should Know This: The Science of Eating for a Lifetime of Health by Dr Federica Amati
Green Superfood Powder
If your gift recipient loves a supplement to maintain their health, consider buying them a green superfood powder if they don’t use one already. These powders, usually costing around £20-£50, support digestion, boost energy, and can improve your everyday immune function. They can either be mixed with water and drunk on their own, or added to smoothies and protein shakes for an extra hit of nutrients.
Brands like AG1, Rheal Superfood, and Huel offer daily green supplements that can be purchased as a gift set, coming with a bottle/shaker and a tin to store the green powder in.
Yoghurt Maker
I love a fun food gadget, but they aren’t cheap, so make for a great ‘main’ gift for that lucky friend in your life. One I had the pleasure of discovering recently is my beloved Greek Yoghurt Maker! It’s great as it allows your gift recipient to make probiotic-packed yoghurt (natural and Greek-style), as well as soft cheeses, that won’t contain any artificial or ultra-processed ingredients. Lakeland does a basic one for just £25, or go for the Luvele Yoghurt Maker for something a little more luxurious.
Stainless Steel Pans
If your wellness-obsessed friend is in her clean cooking era, a good stainless steel pan is basically a love language. They’re non-toxic, last forever, and help avoid the coatings found in cheaper non-stick cookware – so they’re ideal for someone who’s mindful about what goes in their food as well as what their food is cooked on.
Brands like ProCook, Samuel Groves, or Stellar offer brilliant mid-range options, while Zwilling or Le Creuset is perfect if you’re feeling extra generous.
Immunity Shots
If your gift recipient loves a daily ritual, especially immunity shots, why not consider buying (or making) some as a gift? They’re the sort of thing we all love to incorporate but rarely justify buying regularly, which makes them a surprisingly thoughtful gift.
You can either buy a curated selection from brands like Moju, The Turmeric Co., or Press, or if you’re on a budget, go full Pinterest-aesthetic and DIY a batch into tiny glass bottles – don’t forget to add a cute tag with ingredients.
Healthy Sweet Treats
There is always room in the wellness routine for a sweet treat – especially the kind that feels indulgent while still being packed with wholefood ingredients. These make brilliant stocking fillers, hamper additions, or as ‘just because’ gifts. Here are a few of my faves:
- Hu Chocolate
- True Dates
- Bounce Balls
- Cosmic Dealer Chocolate
- Raw Halo Chocolate
- Nut Blend Nut Butters
Glass Food Storage
I’m sure the wellness lover in your life is slowly trying to swap out plastic tupperware for glass options, but they can get expensive! Not only are they super aesthetic, but also a really practical gift idea for meal prep lovers. Ikea, Pyrex, Kilner, and OXO all have beautiful and affordable options. And if you want to elevate the gift, fill a jar with homemade granola or a batch of energy balls before wrapping it!
