Grazing FAQs & Delivery Information

Find out more about our catering services and delivery information in our frequently asked questions below. If you have a question that we haven’t answered, don’t hesitate to get in touch with a member of our friendly team, we’ll get back to you within 48 hours.

We are happy to cater to reasonable dietary requirement requests with sufficient notice, including but not limited to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. We can also prevent specific items being present on a platter or table (e.g. nuts) but recommend that anybody with severe allergies avoid our products.

Every precaution is taken to avoid cross-contamination, however, we do handle various allergens in the environment in which we create all of our products so we cannot guarantee them to be 100% allergen-free. All requests affecting ingredients should be clarified before a final quote is met and the first payment issued.

Booking with Savery Grazing begins with an enquiry through one of the contact forms provided on the website or direct via email or phone (we don’t take bookings through social media). We endeavour to respond to enquiries within 48 hours to further determine the details necessary to provide a final quote.

When a quoted price is agreed upon an invoice will be created and sent to you via Quickbooks. A booking is confirmed and secured once a deposit has been received.

When providing the invoice we will specify the deposit required to secure the date and confirm the booking – this is usually 50% of the total invoice amount. Due to the number of enquiries we receive, we unfortunately cannot hold dates and do not consider a booking as confirmed until a deposit is paid, the total of which is determined by the table below;

Order Value Required Deposit
< £100 100%
£100 – £499 50%
£500 – £1000 20%
> £1000 Custom

Our grazing table bookings require an additional deposit for the equipment that will be provided by Savery Grazing. This deposit will be returned to you after the safe collection of all our equipment. The standard equipment deposit is £50, however this may be more for larger grazing tables (50 guests or more) where more equipment will be needed. Any damaged or missing equipment may result in deductions from this deposit and the total that is returned. If we are unable to make contact with you for over 6 months after the event we will consider an equipment deposit forfeited.

When a quoted price is agreed upon an invoice will be created and sent via Quickbooks.

Private/Personal bookings should be paid via Direct Bank Transfer using the details found on the invoice. For Corporate bookings, a PayPal payment link will be included.

Due to the number of enquiries we receive, we unfortunately cannot reserve dates until a portion of the invoice total is paid. See our deposits for more info.

The cancellation period for orders under £100 ends 7 days prior to the event or delivery date. For orders over £100 this is extended to 14 days.

Cancellations within the cancellation period will be eligible for a full refund.

Due to the nature of the business any cancellations made outside of the cancellation period will not be eligible for a refund of any payments made (excluding equipment deposits); this includes scenarios where the initial payment has been made outside of the cancellation period (for example, due to shorter notice given or delayed replies regarding details).

We understand plans can change and there may be reasons to change the date of the event; in such cases we would require a minimum of 7 day’s notice. We cannot however guarantee availability of the new date regardless of notice given and thus the booking would need to be considered for cancellation under the cancellation terms above.

If a new date is agreed upon, it may be necessary for a revised invoice to be issued detailing the remaining balance with new payment dates.

Our standard delivery fees are 75p per mile for prepared platters or £1.50 per mile for Grazing Tables.

Depending on the event/delivery time and date, further costs may be added to the rate per mile, such as;

  • Bank Holidays, National Holidays, 20th Dec to 3rd Jan will result in an additional £0.75 per mile.
  • Any day before 8am or after 8pm will result in an additional £0.75 per mile.

For large orders, repeat customers, or orders within our direct local area (S42, Wingerworth) we may offer complimentary free delivery at our discretion.

Please note, that all our prepared platters are available for collection for free.

Feel free to use our delivery calculator found here.

Each platter comes on a refrigerator-sized board so they can be stored for one day, if needed, before your event. For the best taste, quality, and texture, we’d recommend serving your grazing platter on the day of delivery. Simply take out of the fridge one hour before serving to allow the food to come to room temperature.

All food is kept chilled during transport. To comply with the UK Food Standards Agency it is the responsibility of the client to dispose of any of our platters and tables after 4 hours if kept unrefrigerated. Savery Grazing will not be held responsible for any adverse reactions to our food consumed after this time. All of our grazing platters should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 24 hours after delivery.

We kindly ask that you place your order a few weeks in advance, as this gives us plenty of notice and time to discuss all the details with you. This also gives you plenty of time to secure the date or should you wish to make any changes (see our cancellation policy).

Please note that initial payments are non-refundable outside of the cancellation period which can vary depending on the size of your order; this may be necessary to consider when booking.

When making a booking over 6 months in advance, we’d hate for there to be any surprises nearer the time of your event with increasing prices. This is why bookings made over 6 months in advance may be subject to an “advanced booking fee”; an addition to the overall cost to lock the prices as-is. Please see our  Terms and Conditions for more info.
